First you wash and peel the zucchini, then grate them on a vegetable slicer in thin, long strips.

Heat some olive oil in a pan and add the chopped onion. Fry the onion until it appears translucent.

Now add the chopped garlic clove and continue cooking for a minute.

Add the chopped tomatoes and season with salt, pepper, basil, red chili and mix everything together well.

Reduce the heat and fry for 15 minutes until the sauce becomes viscous.

Taste the sauce, if necessary season with salt and pepper.

Add the zucchini strips and mix everything together. Cook the whole thing for 2-3 minutes so that the zucchini noodles absorb the aroma of the sauce and get soft.

Serve on a plate and garnish optionally with freshly grated Parmesan.
